BurdaStyle “Coffee Date” Dress
May 15th, 2009
I made this “Coffee Date Dress” for Easter and summer. I found the free pattern at Burda Style. (If you like to sew, sign up and you can browse and download free and low cost patterns!)
I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The fit is a bit snug, so if I make it again I may make it a size up. The lace at the hem is my addition. I’m still not sure if I want to keep the lace. I think that this size pattern would fit and and feel great in a slighty stretchy knit!
Overall it was pretty easy to sew. Two challenges were: the all in one casing and the invisible zipper.
Total cost for making this dress was under $20.
