Kids Spring Craft – Painted Flower Pot

This painted flower pot was a Mother’s Day gift to me from my youngest son with help from his big sister! It says “Flower Family”. Isn’t it the greatest? I love it!
This is a great spring time craft for kids to make and a very nice gift for a gardener or plant lover. It is a super easy project for kids or grown ups alike. Here is what they used:
- 8″ Terra Cotta pot & saucer
- DecoArt Patio Paint in colors of your choice (the 2 oz bottles were plenty for the project plus we had some left over)
- Sealer
- Assorted paint brushes
- Potting Soil
- Flowers
The process is quite simple and the main thing is just let your little artist express them self!
Paint the pot and saucer in the background colors of choice. Let the paint dry and then paint your design. When the design paint coat is dry, seal the pot and saucer with your sealer. Let sealer dry completely and fill with potting soil and plant some pretty flowers!
Anyone would love a handmade gift like this for any special occasion. Think: Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Housewarming, Holidays, or just because!
