Football Cake Pops and Other Party Ideas
I know, I know… the football season has officially ended. Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints by the way!
I am pretty sure that there will be a lot more football parties to come so I wanted to share a couple of ideas that I think are perfect for a party centered on the game of football. Whether it is an actual football party this fall or a birthday party for a boy that is football crazy, these ideas will get you many compliments!
The first project that I am sharing is one that my daughter actually made just this weekend for her little brother’s birthday party. Football cake pops! Aren’t they the neatest thing? Her brother thought they were pretty awesome too!
She got the idea for the cake pops from Bakerella and then she made them into football shapes. They were such a cool idea… thank you for making all those football cake pops for your brother, Randi! You should check out the football cupcakes that she made last year!
Here are a few more ideas that I thought you might enjoy. I found these while reading blogs that I follow. They would be perfect for a football theme party:
A football field table runner found at Home Made Simple. How neat is this! It is made out of a simple astroturf door mat, tape and number stickers! There are more simple ideas and recipes for a football party there too.
This football garland is sew cute and easily made with felt. Dollar Store Crafts shows you how here: Football Garland
Aren’t these great ideas? They are sure to make your next football party a hit with all your guests, young and old alike!

These ideas are fantastic-I hope my boys like football when they are a bit older so that I can make some of those cake pops-too adorable!
Thanks for sharing!

Oh, What fun cakes!! Thanks for stopping by
my blog and leaving a comment.
I think I’ll let my dnc know about these. She
has a baby boy who will be 1 year old in a mo.
Also a dgnph she bakes cakes for on his BD who will
be 11 in May I think would really love these cakes.
God Bless You and Yours!!!
I’d like to make football helmet cake pops – but I can’t find any examples, instructions on how to do this. Any ideas?
Thank you!
What a cute idea! I’d shape the cake pop like a helmet & then I’d use chocolate candy melts to make the face mask.
I’d draw a couple of U shapes on wax paper with my candy melts then attach them to my helmet…they’ll be really fragile, but really cute! (find a photo of a helmet, and I wouldn’t worry about doing a full face mask, just the mouth guard)
Once I had the basic facemask shapes on, I go back in with my candy melts and connect & add detail to the mask.
Good luck with your project! We would love to see a photo of your helmet pops!
Hi Meg, i love your football cake pops. I want to make some for a football team. How did you make the shape?
Tks,
Tonya
